Sunny Weather!

This weekend we finally saw the sun! My parents and brother Brad drove up late Friday night and so we hung out with them on Saturday & Sunday. My grandma has chickens on her farm now so Erika had to check them out. She walked right in and started cornering them and picked them up and would pet them. Then would put the chicken down and then go corner them again and pick up another one. She was in HEAVEN! I am telling you...if that girl could live on a farm she would be so happy! Lexi on the other hand...she could care less about the animals. She likes to point them out and tell us what they are but she doesn't like to touch any of them!

We had fun Saturday running errands with my parents and hanging out on the front lawn catching some sun! Erika thought she was so special because she got to help Nanny back out Great Grandma's car...and she doesn't even have her license yet!Of course what day would be complete at the Fugal farm without some rolling down the hill! Erika kept begging me to roll with her and I couldn't quite get her to understand that I would smash the baby (and probably throw up on the lawn!) if I rolled down the hill!On Sunday we went over to my Uncle & Aunt's house in PG for a mission farewell luncheon. They are going to serve in the Paris France mission and leave this week. It was fun to see some more family and stuff our faces with food. Before everyone left my Grandma wanted to have an early Easter dinner so we all took naps and then woke up and stuffed our faces some more!

Sunday night my parents took off to go to Idaho to drop my brother off at school for the summer. That night we were in charge of the lesson for Family Home Evening and Erika wanted to do it so I found a lesson online for her and she cute out all the pictures. We did a run through with my family so she could practice and then she got to give her lesson again that night for Trent's family. I was seriously beaming with pride watching her give the lesson on "Be of Good Cheer" she had so much fun getting it ready and felt so grown up being able to give the lesson! Just a side note...my favorite part of her lesson was this quote from President Thomas S Monson:

Wars, natural disasters and personal misfortunes continue to occur. It would become easy to be discouraged and cynical about the future – or even fearful of what might come - IF we allowed ourselves to dwell only on that which is wrong in the world and in our lives. So that in a nutshell was our weekend. Once again it went by WAY too fast!
