One More Question...

Erika is full of a million questions. And not like a question here or there. If she starts asking questions she usually hits you with like 20 questions in a row. For instance we were watching Tangled the other day and the Mother calls Rapunzel her little flower so this is what happens:

Erika: Why did she call her flower?
Me: That is her nickname her mother gave her
E: You mean like how my middle name is Paige
M: No its a nickname not your real name. Kind of like how we call you Rika-Roo but that's not your real name
E: What is her real name?
M: Rapunzel
E: No whats her full name?
M: I have no idea
E: Why did you name me Erika Paige?
M: Because we liked the name and thought you looked like an Erika Paige
E: Who gets to pick the name for baby sister?
M: Dad and I will decide on a name
E: When is baby sister going to get here?
M: Not for a couple more months. After we go camping and go to the rodeo she will come
E: Am I old enough to ride the sheep this year at the rodeo?
M: Yes
E: Can we find me some cowboy boots to wear so I can ride a long time?
M: We will see
E: What day do we get to go pick up sister from the hospital?
M: We don't know yet it's not for a while
E: Are we going to get her at the same hospital that you got me and Lexi?
M: We don't know yet. It depends on where we live when baby sister is born
E: Are we going to move to a new house this week?
M: No honey...we have to wait for someone to buy the house before we can move.

And this goes on and on for hours. She barely takes a breath in between each question. Lately though no matter how the conversation starts it always ends up with questions about the baby.
Just a little background...Erika is under the impression that we just drive to the hospital and Dad and Mom walk into the nursery and pick out a baby and we get to go home. (Don't we all wish it happened that easy!) She gets that the baby is in my tummy and is growing and she feels the baby kick but she still thinks we just show up at the hospital and pick one out...and I am not about to correct her!

Our insurance gives me the choice between a couple hospitals around here. One is the Provo Hosptial where I have delivered both of the girls. I love it there and it's definitely a first choice but there is a hospital in Payson that is way closer to us so depending on if we are still in our house when the baby is born we might deliver there instead.

Monday afternoon it was SUPER rainy and a miserable day so I decided to take the girls to the hospital in Payson to take a tour of the maternity ward. I feel bad for the poor nurse that took us on the tour! She would ask randomly if I had any questions and Erika would start rambling out questions. The nurse was so nice and would answer all of her million questions! Most of them had to do with stuff that was in the room for the baby or doctor!

The last stop on the tour was the nursery where we got to see two brand new twin baby girls get a bath and cleaned up. Erika was in HEAVEN! Lexi kept pointing and yelling over and over "My baby...My baby in my tummy. Baby getting a bath. Baby has a pink bow" We sat at the nursery for a good 20 minutes just watching the babies. I think it was good for Erika to go see things and get everything checked out. Here is hoping this helps her calm down with the baby questions for a while!
