Erika had fun all last week getting to spend time with my parents and play on my grandparents farm with the lambys. We attempted multiple times to catch one of the baby lambys for her to pet but man they are fast suckers!
Over the weekend we went camping with Trent's family. On Saturday we caught butterflies and grasshoppers for hours. Then we blew up all the tubes and spent the rest of the afternoon floating down the river. It was really relaxing and there was a nice breeze blowing most of the day so that helped us stay cooled off!
Sunday morning Trent and I got up bright and early and took down our tent and packed everything up. Went home and got ready ate a quick breakfast and then headed to Pleasant Grove to attend my Aunt & Uncle's homecoming. They were Mission Presidents in the Eugene Oregon Mission for the past 3 years. Their talks were amazing and they had all the missionaries from their mission come up and sing the mission song during Sacrament Meeting and it was seriously amazing to hear and see them all. There was probably over 150 missionaries in attendance! My Uncle opened his talk by saying "I don't think we have enough sandwiches to feed all these guys!"After Sacrament Meeting we ripped over to their house and started setting up the food for the luncheon and people were EVERYWHERE waiting to eat. It was like a bunch of vultures circling the food. We couldn't even get it out on the serving tables without people grabbing food off the platters! We made it though and had a couple wraps to spare!
After that was over and we had cleaned up we headed back to my grandparents house and just played out on the front lawn and on the swings in the backyard. Growing up I have fond memories of rolling down the huge front lawn with my cousins so I tried to get Erika to do it but she didn't want anything to do with it! Man I got so dizzy though after going down only once! While we rolled Trent climbed the big tree! Oh yeah that tall giant of a kid standing next to the tree and Erika is my brother Kyle. He has seriously grown so much the past year! I can't believe how tall the kid is!
My family is somewhat...competitive you could say! My Dad being the total instigator of everything! He started a competition to see who could do the most things with the ball while swinging. Example: Throw it up and over the swing set and catch it on the back swing, Throw it up and get it through the rungs in the ladder on the top of the swing and catch it once it fell, etc. It was HILARIOUS to see them all competing!
So in the top right picture above of Trent and Kyle they were bouncing the ball over the top of her head as she was swinging. Kyle had a rough time getting the hang of things and so poor Erika got a couple bumps to the back of the head! She was a good sport though!My sweet grandpa even came over and tried to get a closer look of all the action! We were all seriously sitting on the lawn just busting up laughing at them!
That picture in the bottom left corner above is of my Mom doing underdog with Erika. She loved it and would say over and over "Higher" when she did it!
When Erika saw Kyle swinging on his stomach she had to try it out too and have her Dad come with her! She is such a character! All in all it was a very fun...very packed...week!

I love your pictures. They totally depict what family time should look like. Just doing ordinary things but having so much fun together. It doesn't take going to an expensive park, but just a backyard full of friends and family.
PS its so green I'm jealous.
That is cool about your Aunt and Uncle. My brother served in Portland but we had another kid from our ward that is handicap that served in the Eugene Mission. He may still be in the mission or just got back so your Uncle should know him. His name is Tyler Cooper. Not that it means much to you but it is a small world.
It looks like you guys are doing well. It is nice to keep up with what your family is up to.
