Last Friday after work Trent and I decided to take Erika to the Utah State Fair. We rushed home from work and packed up the car and headed out. We stopped at the Cafe Rio in American Fork first though and grabbed ourselves some dinner. After stuffing ourselves to the max with their delicious burritos we got back in the car and headed to Salt Lake. 
There wasn't as many people at the fair as I thought there would be so it was really nice! We walked around to all the exhibits and checked out all the little booths set up. Then it was on to the petting zoo area and Erika could hardly contain herself. All night long we heard MOOOOO, BAAAA, OINK OINK OINK everytime we saw an animal (and there were lots of them!) She only freaked out a couple times when the goats would try and stick their heads inbetween the bars and try to lick her! 
After getting our fill of the stinky animals we went over to the carnival rides and walked around, Trent played a couple games and won Erika a stuffed yellow ducky. We grabbed ourselves a cup of homemade root beer (which is NO where near as good as my mom's homemade root beer!) which Erika drank about 90% of. 
After a couple of hours we were tired of walking around and Erika was all hyped up on the sugar from the root beer so we decided to head home. We finally got home around 11:30 and totally crashed.

That sounds so fun. Not the walking and stinky animal part but just going and doing something differant. I can't wait to take Ammie to do things and have her know that it is fun.
Man, you guys sure went all out! You're lucky you can get your husband to go and do stuff like that with you...
