24th of July

I have totally slacked at blogging lately...sorry everyone...but with the trips that we have had planned and all the holidays I don't know where the summer has disappeared too! I will try and update it more often but I just don't have the energy to do anything!

So first things first...the 24th...

That morning we got up early and went down to the fire station for the annual Fireman's Family breakfast. We got there a little late so we missed out on most of the good food but thats okay it was still fun. Then we ran to the gas station and picked up some snacks and drinks for the parade.The parade was fun. A lot of the Garbe family was in town so we all sat together and watched the parade. It was kind of an overcast day and we had a nice shady spot so it made sitting through a couple hour parade bearable! Erika had a blast waving to all the princesses on the parade and catching candy, necklaces, bracelets, etc!

After the parade we headed home and made sandwiches and took nice long naps! Then we met Trent's family at Barry's for a quick dinner before the rodeo. The rodeo was fun. Erika enjoyed watching the horseys and lambys. Trent's Mom got all the kids cowboy boots and hats to wear and Erika had a blast running around in her boots with her princess hat.


After the rodeo we didn't stick around to see the fireworks like we usually we do. We were all exhausted and had to go back to work the next day so we were ready for bed!
