My little baby is officially in 1st grade. Sad day for me...happy day for her though! She was SO excited to finally get to go back to school. We took her school shopping and picked up her backpack and lunch box 2 weeks ago and ever since then she keeps asking if the next day is school yet! On Saturday we took her school shopping. Most people had already been school shopping so things were pretty picked over but the bonus was that most of the stuff was on sale now! We picked up shirts for 99 cents and shoes for $9!
Last night Trent took Erika on a Daddy Daughter Date to go see The Odd Life of Timothy Green. She was in heaven and can't wait until she gets to go on another date with Dad by herself! The only problem was they got home late so she had a hard time waking up this morning! Oh well...the first day is NEVER easy no matter how early you go to bed! While they were at the movie I packed her lunch and made sure to include a little note for her!
We had a pancake breakfast at her request and got all dolled up for school!
After we all got ready it was time for the classic first day of school pictures!
Seriously when did this girl grow up? She isn't my little baby anymore she is a 1st Grader!!

Here she is with her teacher Miss Ledingham. I have only met her for a few minutes but already she seems like an amazing teacher and Erika is going to LOVE her!
