Children's Discovery Museum

 Back in September I decided to take the girls to the Children's Discovery Museum in SLC right after Erika got out of school one day. I have heard lots of good things about the place and thought it would be fun to take them during the day when hopefully it wouldn't be too busy with school back in start. The girls had a BLAST! We stayed there for 5 hours and the girls would have stayed for another 5 but I wanted to head home before rush hour traffic.

 Their favorite area was this small town that had everything their size including a farm, house, construction site, gas station, and grocery store. Their second favorite place was this imagination station that had all sorts of shaped magnets that you could build stuff out of.

 On the top of the building they had a real helicopter and the girls thought it was so cool to sit in it and pretend to fly it. It had a button that when you pushed it, it would sound like a real helicopter taking off.

  

 

After seeing everything we headed back to the small town area and stayed there for another couple hours. They would take turns buying groceries and then taking them to the house and putting them away in the fridge and cupboards.

 I got complimented by a couple different workers because they girls when they were done playing with the pretend food would actually walk around the grocery store and put things back where they were suppose to do whereas most kids just leave the food laying around or in the shopping cart. Now if only I could get them to clean up like that at home!

It was a fun day and the girls keep asking when we can go back again!
