Am I Caught Up Yet?!?

Oh man it doesn't pay to fall behind on the blog!! Last Wednesday Erika's preschool did a Christmas Concert at a rest home in town. Her teacher sent each kid home a cd of the songs they were going to be singing at Thanksgiving so we have had it in the car and listening to it non-stop for the last 3 weeks! Needless to say she has every song memorized!At the end of the program each kid was suppose to give someone a candy cane and a card that they had made. Erika spotted out this Grandma and ran over and handed it to her and gave her a big hug. It really made my day to see her be so nice to others!!On Friday night we picked up my brother from the SLC airport and hung out with him for a couple hours. He is going to school in Idaho and caught a ride down to SLC and got to the airport around 2pm but his flight didn't leave until almost 10 pm! Trent and the girls picked me up from work and we headed up north.We ate some dinner and then drove around and saw the Christmas lights and took Kyle way up the mountain and showed him an awesome view of the city and the capitol building.
On our way back to the airport we drove around Temple Square and Erika had fun yelling out the window at all the people. We saw a couple Santa's and some elves and Buddy the Elf. There were also some scantilly clad girls and Trent jokingly said "HoHoHo Standing on the Corner" and Erika (whose window was rolled down) screams out "HoHoHo Santa's on the Corner" we couldn't stop laughing!!

On Saturday night we had the annual Davies Family Christmas Party. Trent's Dad is one of 16 kids so its usually quite the get together. We had a yummy dinner of soup and played some games for prizes. I won a yummy Symphony Bar w/toffee and Erika won some Littlest Pet Shop toys and Lexi won this cute little puppy that wags its tail and moves its head when you pet it.

After the games were over they had a pinata for the kids. Lexi took one whack at it and then she was done! Erika on the other hand kept hitting it as hard as she could!She had so much fun and informed me that we need to have a pinata at her birthday party when she turns 5!It was a fun night to get together and see family we don't see too often!
