We left on Monday the 9th after much hassle and work! We got a late start but hoped that the girls would sleep through most of the drive...we were wrong. Lexi HATES being in her car seat for long periods of time so she was a nightmare. By about midnight Trent and I were so tired but Erika was WIRED so she had the job of keeping us awake and boy did she! She was talking and singing non-stop and if we looked tired she would turn and yell at us "HEY WAKE UP" at the top of her lungs!
Tuesday and Wednesday were spent swimming and getting ready for my little brother's Eagle Court of Honor. Erika wasn't too sure of the pool and had to be thrown off the diving board in order to get in.
Her Dad had to show her just how much fun jumping off the diving board can be! Talk about a sweet action shot!
Lexi loved the water...as long as it was warm! 
We also took Erika to do some back to school shopping. She was very upset the first night we went out because we couldn't find any cute skirts for her that were her size but we went out again another night and found more so she is set now!! 
She had to lay out some of her new clothes and show them to Papa! 
The Court of Honor was on Wednesday night and it turned out so good. The decorations looked amazing. We had a HUGE turn out. And there were lots of family and friends there to help celebrate!
I had never been to a court of honor before so it was a really good experience for me! 
The Eagles nest was HUGE! I think there was about 20 people in it and it was the largest that my Dad had ever seen too. So amazing!! On Thursday we had Kathryn over to play and swim with Erika. 
Kathryn tried to teach Erika how to jump off the diving board but Erika didn't want to have any part of it! Here is proof that my Mom hasn't lost her cool...she still jumps off the diving board! 
After we were done swimming we invited the rest of Alan & Lisa's family up for a bbq dinner and games. 
On Friday and Saturday we...well you guessed it...SWAM! It was so much fun to just relax and play games and stuff our faces! The boys all got up super early on Saturday morning and went to the lake. While they were away us girls decorated the house for Trent's birthday and made breakfast.On Sunday we got ready for church. Here is Erika all ready and posed!
She wanted to take a picture with the birthday boy too!
After church we had Alan & Lisa's family over again for Trent's birthday dinner. We had london broil, twice baked potatoes, broccoli bacon salad, triple layer raspberry jello salad, rolls, and corn on the cob. Quite the feast! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!! After dinner we had the blueberry dessert he requested for his birthday cake.
Then we watched him (or should I say Erika) open presents!
He got spoiled and got clothes, movies, socks (exciting I know!), a watch, wallet, and a new camping chair.

My parents have started putting our old home videos onto DVD and so that night we started watching some of them. Trent had fun laughing at me as a little girl and we now know where Erika gets everything from...she acts just like I did when I was her age!Stay tuned for more details from week 2 of our trip!
